Fraud websites coming up by the name Satyamev Jayate

Topping the small screen performance chart within a few weeks by just telecasting 3 episodes of Satyamev Jayate, Aamir Khan productions has started leaving its impact on the peoples of India, and making them aware of what’s going around their locality, so that they can take some major steps to stop and to get into the rid of it.

Due to this very popular show, floods of visitors have come to visit the official website of the show at http://satyamevjayate.in/. After the very first episode of the show was telecasted on 6th May, the official website literally crashed due to unexpected overload on its server. But in this course of time, many fake websites with the show’s logo, look and feel, have cropped up, misleading surfers. Having no connection with the official website of the show, the fakes have similar names such as satyamevjayateindia.org and satyamev-jayate.in, with content about the show.

As per the Star India, the telecasting channel, "Some unscrupulous persons have in an unauthorized manner, hosted websites in relation to the program. These people have gone to great lengths to ensure that the look and feel of their fake website is an exact copy of our official website. It is obvious that the fake sites have been hosted to dupe innocent viewers to extract money. We shall not leave any stone unturned to take strong legal action."

As a  result of the same copycat issue, the cautionary statements have also been issued in papers and on the website, by the Star India Television channel. Whoever are behind this shameful act, must stop this misdeed, as this copycat is against a very noble cause. They should realize their deeds as a very disgraceful step to ruin a generous effort.

Selecting the right job to start off a successful career

In this present scenario, when you have numerous MNCs offering competitive packages, selecting the right job is always a difficult, but at the same time, very important task, specially for a fresher whose career begins with his/her first job selection.

Let us first be clear about what is job and what is career. A lot of people look at a job and a career as the same thing, but they aren’t. A job is usually where you work, such as “I work at Google,” whereas a career is your profession such as “I am an engineer.”

Chances are, you will not have your ideal job right away because you are probably looking for a job that will bring tons of money, happiness, and power. If you are one of those people who is looking for a successful career, here is what you should be looking for in your first few jobs:

Size – you may like working for a small company, but it’s in your best interest to work for large companies with thousands of employees. Think of it as a networking opportunity because the more people you get to know on a personal level, the better chances you have for success in the future. If you decide to work for a large company at first one of the easiest ways you can network is to get to know one new person a day.

Title – instead of taking a job based on pay, you should think about taking a job based on your title. You may get paid more as a mid level engineer at Boeing, but it is probably better to take a management position at Exxon even if it pays a bit less. In the future you are more likely to get better jobs if you are an engineer and had a management position compared to if you were just an engineer.

Opportunities – your potential isn’t unlimited, it is actually limited by your job. Some companies will not allow you to go to industry conferences or even create your own blog, which will hinder the growth of your personal brand. The last thing you want to do is take a job that will hinder your future and limit your options.

Flexibility – some companies only allow you to work on specific things while others like Google let you do whatever you want 20% of the time. If you can find a firm that is flexible enough to take in your creativity and let you do whatever you want 20% of the time it can tremendously help your career. Wouldn’t it be great to say that you created X for company Y on your resume?

People – let’s face it, you are whom you surround yourself with. If you surround yourself with successful entrepreneurs then hopefully one day you will be a successful entrepreneur. It is easier said then done to surround yourself with great people, so make sure you get a job that is filled with tons of smart and talented individuals.

Environment – the atmosphere at your work place will affect how you perform. Working in a fun and entertaining environment will probably make you more productive compared to working in a dull environment. This may not make sense, but you are more likely to work harder and longer when you are having fun.

Management – hopefully your boss will not be a pain in the ass. It is important to work for someone who is fun, encouraging, and most importantly still gets the job done. There will be times when you need something from upper management and the only way you will be able to get it is by going through the chain of command.

These are just some of the things that should affect which job you take in the short term because it will have a big impact on your career and your future goals. Whatever your career goals may be, don’t get lured by the lucrative offers of various companies at present, instead look for your career path in near and far future.

Ross Levinsohn becomes 4th person to lead Yahoo in last eight months

Yahoo swept out Scott Thompson as CEO Sunday in an effort to clean up a mess created by an exaggeration about his education that destroyed his credibility as he set out to turn the long-troubled Internet company around.

Ross Levinsohn, who oversees Yahoo's content and advertising services, is taking over as interim CEO. He becomes the fourth person to run Yahoo in eight months.

Yahoo hired Thompson, the former head of eBay's PayPal, in January to orchestrate a reversal. Though Yahoo is one of the Internet's most-visited websites, the company has struggled to grow in the face of competition from the likes of Google and Facebook. The company's difficulties have irked investors. Thompson took the helm as Yahoo's fourth chief executive in less than five years.

Thompson's abrupt exit after just four months on the job came as part of the latest shake-up on Yahoo's board of directors, which has been in a state of flux for several months. Yahoo Chairman Roy Bostock and four other directors who had already announced plans to step down at the company's annual meeting later this year are leaving the board immediately.

The internet giant has been witnessing complete hurricane in its core members in last few months, which must not continue any longer for the company to maintain its position and reputation in the IT market.

Viswanathan Anand, the GOD of Indian Chess

They might not enjoy the same levels of adulation, but in the world of chess India's Viswanathan Anand is every bit as accomplished as fellow countryman Sachin Tendulkar is at cricket.

Both Anand, 42, and Tendulkar, 39, rose to the top of their game while teenagers and have stayed at the highest level for decades, lauded by their fellow players at home and abroad for their talent and polite charm. And while Tendulkar, one of the finest cricketers ever to play the game, is worshipped by millions of adoring fans and often considered India's top international competitor, some suggest Anand's record is actually superior.

"Anand is, quite simply, the greatest sportsman India has ever produced," declares the website of the Olympic Gold Quest, a foundation started in 2001 to support the country's world-class stars.

Anand, the undisputed world chess champion since 2007, embarks Friday on one of the biggest tests of his career as he defends his crown against Israeli Boris Gelfand in the $2.5 million series in Moscow.

Dubbed the "lightning kid" for his ability to make quick moves, he has been in a hurry all his life. He became an international master at 15, was crowned Indian champion at 16, won the world junior title at 17 and became the country's first grandmaster at 18.

The Indian government, taking note of the young man's rapid rise, conferred on him India's fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri, a few months short of his 19th birthday. In 1992, Anand became the first recipient of India's highest sporting honour, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, and the country's second highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, came his way in 2007.

The Tamil Nadu-born wizard, who lives in Spain with wife Aruna and one-year-old son, is seen as a star not only of today's game but of all time.

Anand started solving chess puzzles displayed on television as a six-year-old child. He, with his mother, solved all these puzzles and sent in our answers, and at one point, they just said ... don't send any more entries so that others get a chance.

Anand's game is built on belligerent attack that catches opponents off-guard, but his unflustered approach ensures that he has the right defence in place when the going gets tough. If anyone is close to perfection in chess, then that's him.

Look out for Transit of Venus this June

Get ready to witness a very rare astronomical event which will occur on June 5 and 6 this year. The event will be caused by planet Venus which will pass directly between the earth and the sun, appearing as a small dot travelling across the disk of the sun.

The NASA scientists have called this as Transit of Venus. The time span of this planetary alignment called the 'Transit of Venus' will occur during a 6-hour time period.

The frequency of this rare event can be decided with the fact that this will not happen again until 2117. So one will be able to see such event only once in his/her lifetime. Checking out the records from past, only six such events have occurred since the invention of the telescope in 1631, 1639, 1761, 1769, 1874, 1882 and 2004.

Residents of Delhi will have to wake up early on June 6 to witness the once-in-a-lifetime-event- the transition will begin at 3.39 am and continue till 10.22 am according to local time. NASA suggests watchers to find a clear eastern horizon to witness the event clearly.

Whereas, on the other side of the earth, residents of North America will be able to watch the event during sunset on June 5.

TCS pushed to second position leaving ONGC behind

TCS, the Tata Group software services company, has come up as the country's second most-valued firm for the second time within a week. With a total market capitalisation of Rs 2.43 lakh crore, the company has surpassed oil and gas major ONGC. TCS is nearly Rs 13,000 crore more than state-run ONGC's market value of around Rs 2.30 lakh crore.

When TCS shares jumped 13 per cent up in a single session with investors cheering robust 2011-12 earnings and an upbeat FY13 outlook, TCS dethroned ONGC from the slot. A sharp gain of 3.49 per cent in TCS' share prices pushed the company to the second position. Whereas, ONGC shares posted a gain of 2.22 per cent resulting in a drop to third position.

On the other hand, securing its first position, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) remains the most valued company with a market capitalisation of Rs 2.44 lakh crore. On January 5, TCS had toppled RIL as the country's most-valued firm as shares of the billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led corporate giant plunged sharply. Besides, TCS had replaced RIL from the top position for the first time on December 30, 2011, which was the last trading session of that year.

Rising of TCS compare to other domain companies indicates the booming IT market and its amazing future possibilities in the country.
