An average human takes around 0.777 seconds to glance down at the instrument cluster. Though it does not sound a long time but think about someone driving at a speed of 60 miles per hour then this small time equates to around 21 meters which is the distance traveled without the driver's eyes being on the road ahead. So to avoid accidents and enhance road safety on high speed tracks, we needed some gadget which keep the driver's eyes and their attention exactly where they should be.
The innovative company from Cambridge, Light Blue Optics launches its another hi-tech gadget Light Speed to solve this problem. Vital informations such as speed, road warnings and GPS information is displayed at an apparent distance of 2.5 meters from the driver's eyes using the HLP technology which is behind Light Speed. The display appears to be floating off the end of the vehicle’s bonnet, reducing the need for drivers to shift their focus from the road ahead.
