Android users open to major security risk

Android had been an outstanding platform for smartphone users. Google had almost dominated the smartphone market with the release of Android OS. But issues keep coming for Android since its inception.

At first stage, it was legal and now its technical. There seems to be a major security threat for almost 97% of Android users globally which can access all your private info on your smartphone. This threat is dangerous for all Android phones running Android 2.3.3 or previous versions. Only 3% of the total android phones are above this release and so the risk is real big.

All these smartphones can be accessed remotely when connected to unencrypted Wi-Fi networks. Sneakers can remotely access your contacts, calendar and to-dos like personal stuffs and not only this they can even delete it. So beware all Android users before you connect to any Wi-Fi network.

When asked Google about this, Google officials said we are aware of the issue and we are working on the fix. The fix will be out very soon and it will be upgraded automatically on all Android users running below the 2.3.3 release. So no need to patch or trick anything on your own as the fix is on its way.

In general, Android has been amazing smartphone OS with an increasing outnumbered fans including me.
