Japan to use Smart Grid Technology for energy-saving

After the severe tragedy in Japan on March 2011, due to the earthquake which led to the tsunami and then the nuclear crisis the whole world heard about, Japan has been recovering itself at a very fast rate.

Another important step in this recovery is the new energy policy of Japan. Due to the nuclear tragedy, the major energy source i.e. nuclear plants are no longer a better option for Japan and they are looking forward for renewable sources of energy which can not only provide enormous energy but also are safe from any natural hazards. Being surrounded with ocean tidal energy can be a better option for Japan.

Not only this, Japan is also implementing smart grid technology to save energy and minimize its consumption with a zero wastage target. Smart grid technology can be taken as a simple upgrade of power grids used in last century which broadcast power from a few central power generators to a large number of users. Smart grid provides a digital solution for the same with use of computerized meters to regulate power us. It provides a better approach to regulate, route and respond to the different situations that occur in power distribution.

Check out this for more details about Smart Grid Technology.
