Microsoft, which itself is the accused of several antitrust probes in the United States and abroad is about to file an antitrust case against Google arguing that Google is engaging in anti competitive behavior in search, online advertising, and smartphone software.
As per Microsoft, Google is illegally impeding competition, including limiting search results and Windows Phone access to YouTube, blocking access to content owned by book publishers, and restricting advertisers access to their own data. Though its not new for Google, which has come under increased scrutiny over the past several years as it has come to dominate the Internet. In February 2010, Google was asked to explain how it ranks search results and advertising after complaints from European businesses such as Foundem.
There is no doubt that Google has done a tremendous job to make internet useful from business giants to common people but there are several secrets behind its laudable mission to organize the world's information, especially its broadening pattern of conduct including walling off access to content and data that is aimed at stopping anyone else from creating a competitive alternative
Google is all set to rule the internet world in upcoming years with this strategy. That is why, not only Microsoft but several other silicon valley giants have raised issues to put a halt over Google's dominance.
